To: G Suite for Education Administrator

Hi there,

Google recently announced new features on Google Classroom and Google Forms that are
available through a beta program. I’m interested in participating in the beta program or future betas,
however first the G Suite administrator must submit the Pre-General Availability Program Addendum
and complete this form.

Here is a help center article with more information and how to sign up and below are descriptions
of the beta programs available:

Gradebook beta in Google Classroom
Instructors will have the ability to easily view and input grades across classwork and students.
Instructors can also setup grade categories in settings, and share overall performance with students
and their guardians. For more information, check out the official blog post.

The new Grades page and the ability to configure Gradebook settings are only available on the Web.
Using and viewing grade categories and average grades are available on the Web, iOS, and Android.
Please take a look at this Help Center article for more details about Gradebook.

Locked Mode Quizzes beta in Google Forms
Locked mode in Quizzes in Google Forms is a new way to keep students focused and distraction-free
during tests and quizzes. Available only on managed Chromebooks, locked mode prevents
students from navigating away from the Quiz in their Chrome browser until they submit their answers.
Teachers can enable locked mode with a simple checkbox in Google Forms, giving them full control
over assessments. For more information, check out the official blog post.
